Role: Validation Inspection - Technician

The Validation Inspection Technicians carry out collation, dismantling, inspection, photographing and initial reporting of returned customer and internal validation test samples within the product engineering department. They have input into root cause analysis of failures. They will also from time to time carry out other support activities within the product development department.

The Company:
Working with a leading global supplier of electronics and technologies for automotive, commercial vehicle and other market segments. Operating major technical centers, manufacturing sites and customer support facilities in 30 countries.

Responsibilities include:
" Log, dismantle, examine, photograph & report FIE products returned from customer specific or internal validation tests.
" On occasions, post-test the returns on development test rig to existing rig test plans to log their performance after return for examination.
" Give input into root cause analysis of failed parts.
" Involvement in Total Quality ideas for department efficiency and methods improvement
" Involvement in improvements to Development Workshop infrastructure
" Assist with maintaining inventory of tools, equipment & FIE samples in the Development Workshops

The ideal candidate:
" Higher National Certificate/City & Guilds/Engineering Apprenticeship or Equivalent in an engineering discipline
" Previous experience in a similar role/relevant engineering sector
