As the Engineering Manager for a world leading power supply company you will be accountable for the delivery of successful new products to market from the design group; managing and developing a talented multidisciplinary engineering team. This is a leadership role requiring an individual with an engineering background and the confidence and gravitas to not just lead the design team but to have a real impact on the business. The engineering team are experts technically, what this world class, rapidly growing business needs is strong project management (process, project delivery, strong discipline and structure), people management and business support.

Lead, manage and support the R&D Team – Hire, train, develop, teach, coach, mentor, motivate, reward and performance manage
Mentor less experienced staff on challenges and handling projects and responsibilities; is considered a strong leader and role model for the R&D Team.
Collaborate with other business functions to accomplish project, department, and business objectives.
Direct appropriate support for manufacturing, sourcing, and quality functions within the company to improve processes, product reliability and the transitioning of new product designs with manufacturing.
Determine resource needs, develop plans, track progress to those plans, resolve conflicts and deliver scheduled milestones to projects.
Design and Product Delivery
Work with senior management in the prioritization and assessment of future projects, team objectives and key results within the R&D Team.
Review and evaluate product quality, cost effectiveness, and manufacturing performance to standards and takes action as necessary to correct variances.
Accountable for leading and managing the team in developing, validating, and documenting product and process requirements.
Work with customers and commercial teams on complex projects; highly visible interactive engagement with customers when required.
Interact with customers and sales teams providing technical expertise.
Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering/Power Electronics or equivalent experience
Proven leadership and people management:
Adept at overseeing multiple cross-functional teams in all project activities for the successful commercial launch of new products

Proven track record of developing and launching successful, innovative products; has a thorough understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes and how they affect design decisions.
