Business growth has created a new career opportunity for a Full System Hybrid Architecture/ Diagnostics Engineer with a global powertrain consultancy. In this challenging role you will be responsible for the analysis and further improvement of the complete vehicle diagnostics for a world-leading premium vehicle manufacturer. You will be working with a professional international team of diagnostics engineers as consultants, working alongside system engineers in the design and robustness of new ADAS and intelligent vehicle features, employing FMEAs and System Architecture Diagrams to design and ensure robustness of Diagnostics coverage of the new features.

Our client is the world's largest independent company for development, simulation and testing technology of powertrains (hybrid, combustion engines, transmission, electric drive, batteries and software) for passenger cars, trucks and large engines.

Your Responsibilities as the Full System Hybrid Architecture/ Diagnostics Engineer:
Analysis and further improvement of the complete vehicle diagnostics for world-leading passenger car manufacturers
Deep joint development and cooperation with customer and internal technical development departments and suppliers
Support the Diagnostics Failure Mode Effects Analysis on vehicle and component system levels
Definition of acceptance criteria for validation test activities
Performing complete vehicle diagnostic verification and reporting
Status reporting and tracking of project tasks to the customer and AVL management
As an integral part of the project team, you should help to drive the development of the diagnostic tool chain

Your Profile:

Essential skills and experience:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering or similar
Good overview of the automotive architecture of a passenger car application
Experienced in one of the following areas: Powertrain, Hybrid, Body / Chassis, Infotainment or Comfort Functions / Power Management
Communication, teamwork and leading abilities
Analytical and conceptual capabilities
Good English

Preferable skills and experience:
PREEvision knowledge
Skills: UDS communication protocol

Annual Remuneration: GBP28,000 – GBP38,000
