As the Gasoline Calibration Engineer with a leading global powertrain consultancy you will be part of a team on the development of novel engineering solutions and processes to meet performance and economy targets to fulfil future Gasoline engine requirements. The role encompasses working collaboratively with cross-functional teams within the company as well as with external partners and suppliers. Our client is the world's largest independent company for development, simulation and testing technology of powertrains (hybrid, combustion engines, transmission, electric drive, batteries and software) for passenger cars, trucks and large engines.

Your Gasoline Calibration Engineer responsibilities:
Planning and execution of an engine or vehicle development program
Calibration dataset development in-line with attribute targets
Dataset validation for all ambient conditions both in facility and in territory
Analysis of results and preparation of recommendations
Profile as Gasoline Calibration Engineer:
BEng in Mechanical/Automotive or related Engineering discipline
Masters or PhD in specific subject area preferred
Experience within the automotive industry
Good knowledge of Combustion engine fundamentals
Good working knowledge of EMS and related tools and software

Experience of co-ordinating and executing tests on vehicle and engine test-bed
Knowledge of data analysis tools such as AVL Concerto or equivalent
Knowledge of data acquisition tools (e.g. INCA, ATI, Vector)
Knowledge and experience of specifying Gasoline Engine attributes and components
Understanding of worldwide vehicle emissions legislation
Knowledge and experience of vehicle emissions and after-treatment systems
Understanding and experience of DoE and emissions modelling
Understanding of worldwide OBD legislation
Familiarity with HIL rig and model-based development activities
