This is a unique opportunity for a Simulation Engineer (Performance 1D) to join the premier sports manufacturer and operate as part of the Powertrain Design and Know-How group within the Powertrain Department. You will typically be responsible for CFD 1D engine simulations pertaining to several aspects of engine performance from the concept phase down to Start of Production. You will interact with several functions within the Powertrain Department (e.g. Concept Design, Innovation, Testing, Homologation) and with other Units (e.g. Vehicle Performance).
Contributing during the engine concept phase to defining the key features and technologies needed in order to reach the engine performance targets
Supporting the testing and development activities by cross-analysing experimental and numerical results
Cooperating with the other Functions within and outside his/her Department throughout the lifetime of an engine project
Developing novel methodologies for the continuous improvement of the simulation tools and models
Interacting with suppliers and consultants and managing projects under his/her responsibility
Taking part in Engine Innovation and Research programmes
Master Degree in Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
Experience in top research companies, universities or a vehicle manufacturer
Knowledge of GT-Suite or Ricardo Wave simulation environment
General knowledgeability on operating principles and physics governing modern spark-ignited internal combustion engines
Deep knowledge on Fluid-dynamics
Sensitivity to the latest trends in engine design for performance and for reduced emissions
Flexibility in working in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment
Capability of interacting constructively within a Team and among Teams
Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken and committed to learning Italian
