This is a unique opportunity for a Braking System Design Specialist to join the premier sports car brand. You will be based in the heart of the company at the prestigious state of the art Maranello facility. The work is purely working on the GT V8/ V12 and development road cars. Typical projects are 2-3 years and will cover working with all major stake holders in a unified car delivery.

You will be responsible for supervising the different activities related to the braking system development and stability by managing the relationship with the co – designer and ensuring proper integration between the setup, design and testing phases.

This challenging role requires a braking design and modelling specialist that understands the full system and the components i.e. friction, resistance, reliability, pad wear – and how they are produced. As well as being able to calculate a brakes systems you will know the technical details of brakes and be able to problem solve by performing analysis and provide alternatives. You should also have a real interest in how brakes will develop in the future – i.e. brake by wire.

Braking System Design Specialist responsibilities include:

Analyze different solutions used by the company's main competitors
Propose, through close collaboration with suppliers, improvements and inovations in order to maintain the leadership in the sector
Ensure the proper technical development of the components ( sizing / performance ) to match the need for upcoming vehicles
Provide specialist support to the development team ( application of previously developed components – drafting and testing)
Manage relationships with the following departments : setup, vehicle dynamics , NVH , vehicle development team
Making sure milestones and costs are being reached

Technical responsibilities:
Making sure NVH performance standards are met (minimum amount of noise during braking)
Obtaining best performance on track and on-road within the following technical limits:
disc, brake pads and braking fluid temperatures
disc and brake pads consumption

Your Profile:
Laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica
Esperienza di almeno 10 anni in ambito impianti frenanti presso car maker di vetture alto-prestazionali o tyre 1
Competenze di lettura di disegno tecnico e interpretazione dei risultati di analisi strutturali ed NVH
Competenze di dettaglio sul funzionamento dei materiali dattrito (pastiglie freni)
Orientamento al risultato e problem solving
Buone capacità relazionali, di comunicazione e di lavoro in team trasversali
Inglese fluente
Italiano fluente o con forte predisposizione ad apprenderlo
